Enhancing farmer awareness on the use of certified seed :KEPHIS and Seed companies convenes a farmers’ baraza in Makueni and Kajiado County
Over 200 farmers gathered in Makueni County at Kee Market and in Rombo, Kajiado County, for an informative baraza aimed at sensitizing them on how to identify and report fake seeds.
This initiative, a collaboration between KEPHIS and seed companies, is part of ongoing efforts to educate farmers on the importance of using certified seeds for improved crop production.
KEPHIS remains committed to ensuring the safety and quality of agricultural inputs in Kenya. This initiative supports our mandate to regulate and inspect the seed industry, ensuring that farmers purchase only certified seeds for better yields.
