KEPHIS Strengthens New Board Members’ Capacity Through Comprehensive Induction Program at KSG in Mombasa
Newly appointed Kenya Plant Health Inspectorate Service (KEPHIS) Board Members, were taken through a comprehensive induction program covering all directorates on Thursday and Friday at the Kenya School of Government (KSG) in Mombasa.

The induction aimed to familiarize the Board with the institution’s structure, strategic objectives, regulatory functions, and operational frameworks. It is a critical exercise to ensure the Board members understand their oversight role and the policy direction necessary for effective governance.

This training is essential as it aligns with KEPHIS’ mandate to assure the quality of agricultural inputs and produce through timely, effective, and efficient regulatory services. 
A well-informed Board enhances decision making, strengthens institutional accountability, and ensures that the organization continues to fulfill its mission of assuring quality of Agricultural inputs and produce towards a food secure and facilitating international trade through compliance with global standards.
