Strategic Engagement;KEPHIS Board and Management Engages with Stakeholders and Conduct Field surveillance

As part of stakeholder engagement and field surveillance, the KEPHIS Chairman, Hon. Joseph M’Eruaki, KEPHIS Board Members, Managing Director Prof. Theophilus Mutui, and Senior Management visited HM Clause Kenya Ltd in Timau, Laikipia County.

HM.CLAUSE is a global vegetable seeds company that exports vegetable products to France, the US, and Israel. KEPHIS plays a crucial role in regulating the import and export of agricultural produce, ensuring quality, compliance with international standards, and enhancing safe trade.

The team also visited another farm, Equinox Horticulture Ltd, and later visited the KEPHIS Timau office, where they planted trees. Currently, the Timau region has 25 companies producing cut flowers mainly for export. Export and import regulation is key for Kenya’s Agricultural sector, boosting economic growth and securing food security.
